England Rugby legend becomes official ambassador for Rugby World Cup 2019 Official Hospitality
We are thrilled to announce that Rugby World Cup 2003 Winner, Ben Kay MBE has been appointed as the STH Live ambassador for the Rugby World Cup 2019 Official Hospitality programme.
As the official brand ambassador, Ben Kay will work with STH Live to promote the Rugby World Cup 2019 Official Hospitality programme in the UK, including public and media appearances in the build up to the highly-anticipated tournament in Japan next year.
As an important member of the Rugby World Cup 2003 winning squad, and now a regular TV commentator, Kay has a wealth of experience and is well known for his expert knowledge and analysis of premiership and international rugby.
On his appointment, Ben Kay said: “The Official Hospitality offering at Rugby World Cup is second-to-none and is an experience rugby fans from all over the world are desperate to be a part of. Combined with the fact the tournament is happening in Japan, which is a destination on many people’s bucket list, it’s going to be even more special.
“Having worked with STH Live previously I didn’t hesitate when they approached me about becoming the official ambassador for the programme. It’s a great honour to educate fans and companies looking to go to Rugby World Cup about what an exceptional experience awaits them.”
Simon Jefford, STH Live CEO, said, “Ben Kay is a World Cup winner and was the only player to be on the pitch for every minute of England’s 2007 campaign. More than anyone else, he understands what an incredible event Rugby World Cup is and I’m delighted that he has chosen to align himself with the Official Hospitality programme.”
In September 2019, Rugby World Cup will head to Asia for the first time. This ground-breaking tournament will see 20 nations play 48 matches across six weeks at 12 venues across Japan, from Sapporo in the North to Kumamoto in the South.
